“Most Humorous Vacation”

Being a Florida resident I feel very lucky because we have a all the access to all the fun. We have very nice beaches which is only a drive away and of course we have the famous theme parks that is known int he whole world. I am talking about the theme park in Orlando. My husband spoiled me so much that he brought me to all of the theme parks that even I had was scared to go to one, I had no choice but ride them and I actually had fun. I even end up encouraging my husband to to go to one that he got scared to go to. We want to make the most of our visit so we always have to try everyone of the rides that the theme park offered. Of course, if we want to theme park capitol of the country in Orlando you want to get good deals and I found this website called Trusted Tours and Attractions where you will have a chance to win a $150 Magellan’s Gift if you will sign up to their newsletter. In their website they also provide the“online travel guides” where you can have pretty good ideas when planning a trip to anywhere in this country or even abroad. And of course if you need Knotts berry farm tickets you can also get it from Trusted Tours and Attractions

Our trip to Alaska Part I (Road Trip)

Now I am so proud to say that i have been to the 50 states of United States of America (yehey!) . Our welcome signs throughout. Our trip was beyond our expectations. We are very happy with it. We actually flew from Tampa to Seattle, Washington 5 days before the cruise date. We rented a car and made a road trip from Seattle to Reno to visit a friend. On our way down, we stop at Columbia River Gorge in Oregon which was amazing. I have never been so close to a waterfall but in the Gorge I got pretty close, too bad I can't swim because water was freezing cold. Oregon is one of my favorite. It's simply beautiful. We want to stop to Crater Lake again yet the road was closed and snow were actually blocking the road. Next stop was Reno, Nevada. I think I've been to Reno more than anywhere else. It's just a cool city. We went to Virginia City not far from there. It's a cool little city and it's where the show Bonanza was filmed (not all scenes, I think). We want to go back to San Francisco, California but we run out of time. Instead we just drove back to Seattle, Washington. On out way back we visited Jimi Hendrix' grave site just a lil bit south of Seattle. (To be continued...)

Pictures will be added on the second part (Ray wants me to upload the New York trip pictures before uploading this one :( )

Can't Wait

I sure can't wait to share all my pictures from this trip. I am so excited this is my 50th state. We've been to the hardest states to go to (Alaska and Hawaii). Alaska is just fascinating. I finally see the real eagle (the AMERICAN EAGLE). The cruise is surely spoiling us on everything, the food is delicious, service is amazing and of course we are able to parteeeeeeeeeeee here in the ship at the constellation clib!!!

Wildest Vacation

Going out of town to visit some landmarks, national parks, beaches or just hanging out in the city we are visiting is a privilege. I never thought of me being able to visit so much places especially here in the United States. I feel so lucky that my husband has showed me so many places in such short period of time. Sometimes when we are driving and we just say a name of a city and we will tell something about what we did and what was our experiences on that particular city. We have our vacation pictures as our screen saver and when a picture showed up on screen we will like talk about that picture and have our memory freshen up. The other day our picture in San Francisco came up and it was us at the Golden Gate. We had so much time in San Francisco. We went to the Golden Gate, Haite and Ashbury (known intersection in San Francisco), Chinatown (huge place and I love it there), Crookedest Street in the World and of course the Fisherman's Wharf. There a lot of places to go to San Francisco and I can't wait to go back to visit Alcatraz so if you are planning to visit San Francisco you definitely need to visit this website Things to do in San Francisco to help you discover spot that you never heard before. Actually we've been wanting to go to San Francisco to visit yet we run out of time because we need to be in the Cruise at certain time or we will miss it. So we decided not to risk or we will be in big trouble. We will visit San Francisco next time instead.

My first Luau Experience in Maui, Hawaii

Spectacular Sunrise

This is the most awaited sunrise I've ever been in my whole life. It was in Haleakala National Park in Maui, Hawaii. I usually watch the sunset but this time we decided to watch the sun rises and it was all worth it. We drove 3:30 in the morning to be in time of the sunrise. We have to be at the top where 10,000 feet elevation to see the sun rises above the clouds and it was freezing too. Definitely one of the most amazing sunrise I've ever seen.

Blast from the past

Yesterday while we are driving back from Miami, Ray and I were talking about our favorite places in the west. We love 1. The Grand Canyon which is pretty amazing and you will wonder how can it form naturally into an amazing place.

2. Monument Valley, this one is just unbelievable how it happened in the middle of nowhere you'll this formation standing tall.

3. Yosemite National Park Beautiful. It's got waterfalls which is the reason why I want to go and see the park.

4. Yellowstone National Park. The most active super volcano.

5. Carlsbad Cavern National Park. Pictures won't do justice in this park wait till you see it in you naked eyes you will be surprised.

West have so many beautiful places to go. Here's only but to tell you the truth I love everyone of them that we went to.

Update on States I have Visited

I officially visited 49 states. No kidding, we visited the New England States last Christmas and New Year. Wonder what's left? The biggest of all of them. ALASKA! It's gonna be hard for us to go there because it's far. Of course we have to know what's the best time to go. I don't know if we will be able to go over there. We'll see

Here's the link for all the places I've been to in the past 3 years

Road Trip to NorthEast Part 2

This trip was supposed to be pure pleasure yet in the last minute before our flight we got this European painting so we just brought the painting with us to show it some museum up north. After New York City, we went to Hartford, Connecticut. We don't know why we're going over there, we don't have any itinerary to follow, as long as we got gas in the car we'll drive to wherever the car will bring us. The next day we went to Providence, Rhode Island. Then we continue to Cape Cod and then Boston, Massachusetts. I like the people in the Boston, they're friendly and very helpful. One thing we noticed was the roads and interstate system was very confusing. When you missed an exit you'll end up in a bridge. It's just confusing to us even with the help of our GPS. Another thing was the parking, for a 2 and a half parking for 36 dollars is not reasonable, it's more of a rip-off! We were debating whether to go to Augusta, Maine or not but then we decided to go ahead anyway. On our way to Augusta,we stop at Concord, New Hampshire for lunch. As we continue to Maine snow was getting bad, it's getting white everywhere we look, even the road is hard to see, We were speeding a lil bit hoping a mile forward will be better not knowing the speed limit in the small town somewhere in New Hampshire, we saw a cop car going the other way yet he put his light to turn back around, so Ray just pulled over in a nearest parking lot of a motel. Somebody told us that if you think you're speeding and the cop is behind you but he didn't put his light yet you can pull over in a gas station or any parking lot and they can't give you a ticket. We decided to stay in that motel, we asked the lady and she said they're very strict about the speed limit and when we were in the we were like lunatic looking out the window checking if the cop is still there. The next day we continue to Augusta but halfway it's snowing really bad so we just stop in Mexico, Maine to eat and then went back to Montpelier, Vermont. I like the city even though side walks were covered with snow. We had our ice cream, I've been wanting ice cream, I don't care if it's cold. We have coat and car heater anyway :) .

Welcome to Montreal, Canada, first thing i noticed was the speed limit. 90! I was wondering if it's miles because U.S. never had that speed limit, the most we've seen is 80/mph and that's only one time somewhere in Texas. Out of curiosity, I've been looking out and I finally found out it's kilometers per hour so it made it slower. Montreal is nice but Toronto is nicer. Buildings were amazing. Nice view of Lake Ontario, main reason why we want to go there to complete our 5 Great Lakes water Collection.

We were able to see Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, it is a lot better in the Canadian side than the US side. A lot livelier, more stuff to do than just look at the waterfalls which unbelievable and a TRUE GOD creation.

We also went to Morgantown, West Virginia. The only state that was left in that area. We went back to New York for our New Year. The ball drop which i didn't see and a lot of people were waiting and trying to get to and trying to witness but it's all impossible if you get there later, I mean you have to be there i guess from 8am in the 31st and wait until 12am on the 1st which is NOT so worth it! considering the horrible weather and a 12 hour wait is just so inefficient.

We went to Atlantic City and spent a day and then went to The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Went back to New York City and spent our two days in the City.

Happy New Year everyone!

Road Trip to NorthEast

December 23rd we have our flight from Tampa, Florida to New York City. Tampa airport have no weather or plane related problem. We checked in online (it's easier), we just checked in our luggage and we're ready to board.

Time to board, we were so amazed to find out that we have a first class seats. Honestly, I haven't been in a first class flight. Ray didn't know how we got our seats. We can't complain it's an upgrade baby! Let's enjoy it ;). Of course the service is very different. We have our dinner (a good dinner with fruits and dessert). Ray and I have a scrabble tournament and our score is Ray - 12; Me - 11(yea I am losing 1 gamebut of course I already beat him 15-8 in the last tournament, our rule is whoever wins the first fifteen will win). We brought our scrabble game so we won't be bored while flying.

After more or less 2 and half hours the captain announced that we have to wait for traffic but a lil bit later we finally landed safely and hurried to our connecting flight to New York only to find out that it was canceled!!! The reason was weather related, oh crap, are we gonna sleep in the airport??? Hope not besides that it's uncomfortable it's freezing too and i didn't have my coat thinking i don't need it until we land in NYC.

We asked the attendant and told us to go to specific gate. Guess what, They gave us Hotel at the Marriot Courtyard in Detroit and a meal and a ride from and to the airport. It's nice of them huh. By the way it the Northwest airlines (you can check them out at www.nwa.com).

We had our flight the next day and landed safely. We got our car and went to heart of the BIG APPLE.

Watch out for our coming pictures from our trip...

We went back home on the night of July 16 and arrive in the afternoon of July 17, 2007 eastern time.
Our 20 days of vacation, was pretty unbelievable. I should say nothing is new since i came from the
Philippines but Hawaii is just phenomenal. Incomparable! It is basically paradise. Landscaping is so beautiful, you can't see it elsewhere! Literally Hawaii is one of a kind! A genuine work of art! It's got a little bit of everything. Beaches are preeminent. Awesome views of sea cliffs, very nice weather, awesome waterfalls, I've seen so much waterfalls that i don't wanna see one anytime soon. Of course, with all those magnificent views and uncommon experiences nothing like driving a mustang convertible and see all God's creations while driving. It was just a good deal that we had 3 (red, white and blue) 2007 mustang convertible in 3 islands. Oh I wish life is always a vacation but that is a far cry from reality. Hawaii is one of our best vacation and had our good memories to cherish as days and years to come.
Pictures are in my main profile and the rest will be posted on my personal website as soon as it's done and i can find time upload it all.

Oops talking to much here...i have to go back on my cleaning!!!

Weekend at Sea World Orlando

Should i say hello first? hehe, I haven't written a blog in weeks, we got so busy in the store and I'm not in the mood to write anything when my mind can't function right because I am freaking sleepy (as Ray called me "SLEEPYHEAD").
Anyway, we went to Sea World Orlando (the last theme park we want to go in the list in Orlando)the past weekend and it was awesome. We didn't really expect anything except Shamu (what else) but it turned out to be as nice as the of the other known parks in Orlando. I love the "Pet Ahoy show" where the dogs, cats, mouse/rat, birds do their tricks. I am a animal lover that if they'll do a trick I will be fascinated and thrilled. The Blue Horizons where the whales and the dolphins do their tricks too. The Clyde and Seamore where the Sea Lions are funny and unbelievably smart to be able to do certain things. Save the best for last, "Believe" where SHAMU, the star of the show splashes everyone in the soak zone.
We went to 2 of their 3 rides: Kraken, the monster of all roller coasters, is the tallest and only floorless roller coaster in Orlando. It will take you to the heights of more than 140 feet and turn you upside down seven times, all at speeds reaching 65 mph! It was pretty wicked but i love it.Journey to Atlantis! Traveling on water and high-speed rails, you'll be chased by spirits who want to keep Atlantis - and you - for their own! You'll never know what's around the next corner or the next drop - even when it's 60 feet, nearly straight down. We got soaked in this ride and still loving it though because we were in the front.

The irony of things happens oftentimes, for us is the theme parks since florida is the theme park capital of the world. We been to 4 theme parks (EPCOT, MGM, Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom) and 2 water parks (Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon) in Disney World, 2 theme parks(Universal Studios & Island's of Adventure) in Universal Orlando and last one is Sea World. Those are the parks we consider the best in Orlando and definitely have to go.
The last one we have to go is Busch Garden in Tampa, It's only 10 - 20 minutes away from our house and we never went there. Now that we've seen orlando definitely one day we'll see Busch Garden.

Weekend at Sanibel Island

We’re not supposed to be leaving this weekend because of our nephew’s birthday party but we want to get away. We haven’t done anything last weekend and it was pretty stressful at the store. Since we haven’t been to Sanibel Island in a year (is that long??? I guess yes) so we planned it for the weekend with Rocky and Bullwinkle. We left Saturday since we just gonna stay for a night and go to the beach. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon and the weather wasn’t participating. It was showering when we got to Island and checked in to our favorite Kona Kai hotel room (Oh not an expensive but happiness of the stay doesn’t rely on how it looks, it depends on how you spend your quality time for your whole stay, just my opinion anyways). We thought for sure they will allow pets but they don’t anymore. They were considerate because we already have our dogs and we made our reservations the day before the checking in. The funny thing is we snuck Bullwinkle in the room because they only let us bring one and Ray told them we only have one ;). We were telling jokes in our room because we can’t do anything since it is sprinkling outside. We normally do something just to make our stay worth it. So slept the whole afternoon and went to a club in Fort Myers, Florida at night. Sunday went to the beach with our 2 beach lover dogs. It was a very nice day too. I can’t believe in the middle of December I can still wear bikini. On our way home the Football game is on the radio and I was trying to get it in the little TV but unfortunately I can’t get it most of the time. I was been screaming in the car because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus The Chicago Bears was very exciting. The buccaneers had a chance to win the game but Bears won after they scored a field goal in the over time.

Oh so nice to get away from the tiresome work even just for a day.

My so called “almost a disaster”

My so called “almost a disaster”

Let me start with what I called “almost a disaster”, we planned to leave Tampa Thursday right after the store closes (at 6:00 o’clock in the evening). So I stayed in the house to pack our luggage and he’ll just pick me up around 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon with our luggage and with the dogs so we can just drop them off at Gandy Animal Hospital for 4 nights boarding. We returned to the store and wait until it closes. There are things that need to be done before we can leave so we go ahead and finished everything. We actually hit the road almost around 7 o’clock at night. He also lost his cellular phone that delays our trip. We were looking everywhere because we needed that phone for the store the next morning. Avery (store in charge) will be calling him about some matters about the store. Looking for his phone made me a little bit irritated and moody. We were talking about things and suddenly he remembered something and we drove back to the store luckily we were not that far from it. So I just waited in the car because I had a slight headache and he can’t find what he’s looking for and want me to help him but I insist not to. After awhile he got out and got mad “imagine, he said forget the f***k*** cruise”. I didn’t say anything but fine. I got mad myself. He drove back home and tried just to drop me and the luggage off, instead I just sit in the car and he drove back to the store. Still I remain seated in the car while he went inside the store. I walked out in the car and started walking across the street where Mobil gas station is located. I am rebellious when I am in my mood and I know he’ll get mad at me walking especially at night. Guess what I bought, a pack of Marlboro cigarette and a lighter. I smoked when I was in college (for a short period of time and part of my curiosity, growing up and everything). When I came back in the car, he was ready to drive away in fact he was already in the intersection ready to make a right in dale Mabry hwy when he saw me in the parking lot (He thought I called a taxi, like what I always do when I am in my crappy and don’t want to ride in the car. I am silly/childish/whatever sometimes, I am just lucky Ray will just ignore it). I went in the car and he started driving towards the South of interstate 275, it means we are heading towards where we supposed to go even though we were not talking that much. We just finally talk when he missed the turn without knowing it that he is going the wrong way which of course I noticed it. I help him trying to figure out how to get back in the interstate which unfortunately there’s none in that area and we have to wiggle our way to the nearest one.

BAHAMAS: Our Destination

Going back to our original plan, Thursday night basically drive towards Fort Lauderdale or as far as we can and stay whenever we’re tired and in the morning of Friday go to Palm Beach (approximately 40 miles from Fort Lauderdale) hang out there and at 1 o’clock go to Port Everglades, where the cruise ship is located. We are going to a 3 day 2 nights Cruise to the Bahamas Bahamas with the Regal Empress. The ship is not as big as the Fascination, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and etc, it’s enough to enjoy my 24th birthday.

At first we don’t know what cabin we will be so talked about upgrading it to sun deck which is nice according to the testimonials and forum that we read prior to our cruise date. Checking in our luggage (boom) I found a Filipino crew, we have to do things we have to do before we can upgrade our cabin only to find out that we are already in the stateroom or sun deck (we are in the top deck of the ship). They still upgrades for it like a cabin with Jacuzzi and balcony (hell, with Jacuzzi aside from the fact that it is 1 deck below our current deck). All we wanted is the top deck so I ask the Filipino crew that I met and he said it is nice and one of the best so we stick to it(please understand us, it is both our first cruise ever, so we are kind of ignorant). As we walk to the ship I saw a hundred Filipinos working on that ship, I mean a hundred if not more so I was so curious about it. I asked Ernie, one of the Filipino crew and our Cabin Steward. He told me that 70 % of the workers are Filipino. He said after 10 months they will go home and after 2 months they will come back. Aside from feeling home in the cruise because I am talking to them with my language “Tagalog” I can order rice too ;). We left Fort Lauderdale and started sailing at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. We join the “Bon Voyage Party” at the pool, and then started looking around what’s going on. The ship doesn’t have the most recent facilities that the other humongous ship can offer but we like the environment (especially me knowing that I am with other Filipinos). Of course they have the basic casino (slot machines, Bingo, Live Entertainments, Disco, gift shop, liquor store, photo shop, pool, lounge and bars, the most popular drink, Bahama Mama ( too sour for me ) but I prefer Pina Colada ) They have all kinds of stuff going on before midnight. After dinner, we decided to just go back and forth to the facilities available.

Saturday, august 26 (It’s my BIG DAY) we reach our destination NASSAU, BAHAMAS. Before anything else is my birthday greeting and gift (do i still deserve a gift even though i already have this trip? maybe for Ray yea!he gave me a watch since i ruined my other watch) courtesy of Raymundo(I love you Honey), Knowing us, we don’t want to do stuff that we have to wait for others, best thing to do rent a car and go with our own pace instead of going to the excursions and tours that they offer. First we have to go to the airport to get our car. We took a taxi, while on our way to the car rental place, we talked to the driver and he is so informative. We knew that Nassau (capital city of Bahamas) is basically 21 miles from the airport to the port, so you can see pretty much all of Nassau in a short period of time. We also knew that there is only one road that goes from the airport to the port and most if not all of the places that we want to go is off that one road ( East/West Bay street). We thought it’s hard to get around of the Island because the taxi driver going to the airport went the other way and made a lot of turns but when we got a big map of the Nassau and Paradise Island , things are easy to figure out.

Dsc03710Dsc03757Dsc03762Dsc03775Dsc03800

We went to CABLE BEACH, we able to see Sandals (one of the resort in Nassau), rented a Jet Ski just right next (I don’t know if they own it) to Sandals (they have sail boats and other stuffs but we prefer Jet Ski), driving and stopping along the road that captures our interest, drove by STRAW MARKET, went to PARADISE ISLAND where Atlantis Resort is located. We stayed for quite a few minutes and decided to go to Blue Lagoon, stay for few minutes and finally reach CABBAGE BEACH. Oh I can’t wait to get in the water. Unlike Cable Beach, Cabbage Beach is packed. Whenever we were in the beach I felt like we were in Blizzard Beach in Disney World (I have no idea why, it’s kind of strange but that’s how I felt all those times). Water temperature is perfect, not hot not cold; just enough to feel you better not to mention it’s crystal clear. Stay there until we are ready to leave and got hungry.

The strangest thing and Ray and I were afraid is driving because it is the opposite here. We have to drive in the left side of the road just like in UK. I feel like we are going to have a wreck every time I see cars coming in the opposite direction. The hardest part is when you turn and automatically you end up in the right side. Ray had to change lane because he end up 3 times on the right and too late to realize he’s on the wrong way when somebody is coming. It was quite dangerous when you’re not used to it.

After eating we returned the rental car in the airport, took a taxi going back to the port.

One thing that I like about Nassau, Bahamas is the people. They are friendly and helpful. They even stop when you are standing and getting ready to cross the road even though they don’t need to stop but they will for you.

Here's the link of our photos: http://www.microstar.net/pix2/main.php?g2_itemId=9036

On our way back to
Tampa we stop by at the airboat place in allegator alley that we supposed to do it last weekend but the weather was nasty. This it was perfectly good weather, guess what after our ride and when we started to walk towards in the car it started to sprinkle and then rain. Was the weather is giving us favor? It does then thank you so much!

weekend...

Start FRIDAY, went to the park where Bullwinkle and Ray used to go just to go in the slides.

SATURDAY morning went to the auction in
St. Petersburg and won bunch of little things but the main thing was the conveyor.
We have plan for the night to go to the place called "friendly tavern" in gulf blvd in
St. Petersburg but Andrew(a friend and the on/off manager)said Clearwater is having some big events and all three brdiges will be packed so the plan is out. We have the alternative to go to Ybor City to watch the St. Patrick Parade but i fell asleep and Ray didn't wake me up because he figured out that i was tired. I woke up around 8:30pm and he even said that he was so bored while i was sleeping and he don't want to disturb me. The second plan was out.
Ray is the kind of person that can't just stay and sit. So he said we will just go to Hard Rock and have dinner and play for a couple of minutes. So we went there had our dinner and play as planned. Unfortunately we lost a couple of dollars(hahahaha). Still it was only
10:00 pm and he don't wanna go back to the house and i already slept an hour so we decided to go to Plant City but not for the Strawberry Festival because it's too late. We just went to the bar in Ramada Inn. They have a live band and gosh most of the people are all dressed up and i was with my jeans and slipers because i can't wear anything more than a pair of slipper because i had a scrape in the back of my foot but it didn't stop us from dancing. The crowd were older and they play a lot of disco and old songs. I am more of a new hits so i have to stablish my mood but i can easily change my style and just go with the flow. No big deal. As long as we are both having fun and people were so nice and friendly. When they did the electric dance/electric slide(whatever! i don't know what they called it) i really wanna learn how to do it and Ray is not a good dancer so i went to the dance floor alone. I started following the guy and boy it was fun. I learn it quickly than i thought. The other guy even came up to Ray and told him that i learn quick because he can tell that at first i don't know anything.
We can have fun whenever we want as long as we enjoy doing it together.
SUNDAY is pretty much planned. We went to the store to finish couple of things and at four o'clockpm we drove to
Davis Island in Tampa to bring Rocky and Bullwinkle to the Dog Park. There were many dogs in the park when we arrive. It's a combination of big and small dogs. They even swim in the beach just to get the ball that their owner will throw. At first we let Rocky and Bullwinkle loose without leash. Bullwinkle was running with the other dogs. Rocky was just sniffing around. He was afraid of big dogs but he won't back down when they will initiate a fight for sure. Dogs were friendly so far. They were so dirty because they just went in and out in the water. The water was still cold and we can't take the boat out yet which i been waiting to go to that place near the sunshine skyway. Eventually we will. When we were tired of following them we tied them and sit in the bench out there. We left around 5:00 pm and went back to the store.
Since Sunday is the last day of the Strawberry Festival in Plant City so we consider going there. We left at the house around 7pm. The festival closes at 10:30pm, more or less 2 hours to stay and enjoy it. As usual rides and foods, the main thing for me is strawberry shortcake. We went there last year and of course wanna go back this year and hopefully the following year. I wanna go to the big ben ride but Ray don't want to. He is scared more than me but we went to the one in Universal before and wanna go back again. It was fun. I met a filipino couple who got the booth for candy called candyland. They live in Valrico. They're been here 7 years.

It was a busy and FUN weekend for sure.

INTO THE WEST, LAS VEGAS, NV (JAN 10, 2006)- DAY 14

Our last day in Vegas, We just enjoy the rest of the strip. Went to these different casinos that everyone cost couple of million dollars. We already packed our things and ready to go. We just have to wash the car because it’s really dirty from driving through the desert and being snowed makes it dirtier.

So far the trip went smoothly as planned and it is really a memory to keep forever. Our flight back to Tampa is 10:45pm but we arrive home around 6:30 am because we gain 3 hours coming back. It wasn’t a big deal we are sleeping the whole trip anyway.

HOME SWEET HOME

INTO THE WEST, MOUNT CHARLESTON & VEGAS, NV (JAN 9, 2006)- DAY 13

We woke up late today. We are not in a hurry at all, around two o’clock we drove to Mount Charleston. It’s only an hour away from Las Vegas maybe less than that. Call me crazy because I went there with a mini skirt. I didn’t expect to see snow there but they got tons of it. The place is really cool but I didn’t enjoy that much because I am freezing. We are 8,600+ above sea level, it is really cold. Anyway, just hoping next time if there’s next time J I can go on skiing. I saw people skiing. It’s really cool.
Drove back down to see Titi Helen (Ray’s godmother). She is really nice and warm. She gave me something so I can always remember her. We stayed couple of hours and drove to the house of uncle Frank (brother of Ray’s dad). He is so nice too.
Then continue to a bar not far from his house. Hang out for couple of hours then has a relaxing night. It’s been a long week for us.

INTO THE WEST, LAS VEGAS, NV (JAN 8, 2006)- DAY 12

The same old day, this is mainly for business. Of course, have our plan for the day. First thing in the morning is to get our tickets for the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. Got our tickets so time for the business again. We went to the other three locations; Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), Hilton Hotel and Alexis Villas. That was pretty easy, we rode the bus intended for the convention because it is really hard looking for a parking space. Today is the last day so we want to see the rest. It was fun and tiring.
Around
two o’clock we are back at the Sand’s Expo for the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. We walk inside and look around just like what others are doing. Having autograph signing with those porn Stars that I don’t even recognize. My outfit is not daring at all. But guess what, someone approaches me and wanted to have a picture with me (Hello I am not a porn star and I don’t even have a boob to boast but I am happy with it). I even told him I am not working in there but still he wart to so Ray took a picture of the guy and me. I am still shock, we continue roaming around here come another one, this time he is a gay from Fort Lauderdale, Fl. He asks me which company I am working with. Then I said nope, I didn’t worked at all. He can’t believe and he even said I am prettier than those porn stars (of course I know he’s exaggerating. I saw pretty faces in the show). Before he left he gave me his card to call in case I need a limousine (which I can’t afford). Another two guys wanted a picture with me, this time it’s different because they are Filipino, are they nuts? I am not a star, why they want to have a picture with me. We talk in Tagalog of course. I don’t even know where they came from. If the star is real pretty then I will be in line just to have an autograph (especially shirt autograph) and have pictures with them. When I am posing with the star some will take pictures of us too supposedly just Ray. I am not exaggerating the whole scenario but it happens to me. I also have picture with a Filipino porn star. She wasn’t friendly at all. I just don’t know if she’s pressured of my presence because I am Filipino too or she’s really like that.
The whole thing was fun and exciting. Life in Vegas again, I like be in the slot machines because I can order my new found drink, Baileys. We tried to find this clubs outside the strip unfortunately we found one but it’s kinda slow so we check in to the Stratosphere. Finally the business related stuff is done.

INTO THE WEST, LAS VEGAS, NV (JAN 7, 2006)- DAY 11

Today is focused on the business trip. So we went to Sand’s Expo. The convention is really cool. Mostly electronic related stuffs and lots of big companies who participated in the convention. At that day we knew about the other convention called AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, Internext Las Vegas. We are curious so we want to buy tickets. We went there around five o’clock and they still sell tickets but only for that day. We don’t want to waste our money for just an hour so we decided to go to the next day.
At night just enjoying the night through casino hopping. We just want to experience
Las Vegas as what it is known for. We went to Rio to watch their parade inside the casino. Have our dinner in this Mexican restaurant as usual my favorite chimichangas (I had it with that food). We also went in club Rio. We thought they have a show but it’s been a couple of hours and it was just dancing. We dance for a little bit and Ray doesn’t really like rap and the kind of music they played so we head our butt in the car and drove to the motel.
