“Most Humorous Vacation”

Being a Florida resident I feel very lucky because we have a all the access to all the fun. We have very nice beaches which is only a drive away and of course we have the famous theme parks that is known int he whole world. I am talking about the theme park in Orlando. My husband spoiled me so much that he brought me to all of the theme parks that even I had was scared to go to one, I had no choice but ride them and I actually had fun. I even end up encouraging my husband to to go to one that he got scared to go to. We want to make the most of our visit so we always have to try everyone of the rides that the theme park offered. Of course, if we want to theme park capitol of the country in Orlando you want to get good deals and I found this website called Trusted Tours and Attractions where you will have a chance to win a $150 Magellan’s Gift if you will sign up to their newsletter. In their website they also provide the“online travel guides” where you can have pretty good ideas when planning a trip to anywhere in this country or even abroad. And of course if you need Knotts berry farm tickets you can also get it from Trusted Tours and Attractions

Can't Wait

I sure can't wait to share all my pictures from this trip. I am so excited this is my 50th state. We've been to the hardest states to go to (Alaska and Hawaii). Alaska is just fascinating. I finally see the real eagle (the AMERICAN EAGLE). The cruise is surely spoiling us on everything, the food is delicious, service is amazing and of course we are able to parteeeeeeeeeeee here in the ship at the constellation clib!!!

Wildest Vacation

Going out of town to visit some landmarks, national parks, beaches or just hanging out in the city we are visiting is a privilege. I never thought of me being able to visit so much places especially here in the United States. I feel so lucky that my husband has showed me so many places in such short period of time. Sometimes when we are driving and we just say a name of a city and we will tell something about what we did and what was our experiences on that particular city. We have our vacation pictures as our screen saver and when a picture showed up on screen we will like talk about that picture and have our memory freshen up. The other day our picture in San Francisco came up and it was us at the Golden Gate. We had so much time in San Francisco. We went to the Golden Gate, Haite and Ashbury (known intersection in San Francisco), Chinatown (huge place and I love it there), Crookedest Street in the World and of course the Fisherman's Wharf. There a lot of places to go to San Francisco and I can't wait to go back to visit Alcatraz so if you are planning to visit San Francisco you definitely need to visit this website Things to do in San Francisco to help you discover spot that you never heard before. Actually we've been wanting to go to San Francisco to visit yet we run out of time because we need to be in the Cruise at certain time or we will miss it. So we decided not to risk or we will be in big trouble. We will visit San Francisco next time instead.

Out of town (Cruising to Alaska)

For those who visited my site, I really appreciate the efforts, unfortunately I can't pay you a visit because
I am currently out of town on a cruise to Alaska for 7 days. I will be visiting your website as soon as I find time.
So far my husband and I is having a blast on our trip and we will share our pictures from this trip when we come back.
I have limited connection because we have to pay per minute to connect to the internet so I will save all the work on posting
my new experiences when we come back.
Once again Thank you so much for visiting my website and continue showing some love here in my site.....appreciate it sooo much...

My first Luau Experience in Maui, Hawaii

Spectacular Sunrise

This is the most awaited sunrise I've ever been in my whole life. It was in Haleakala National Park in Maui, Hawaii. I usually watch the sunset but this time we decided to watch the sun rises and it was all worth it. We drove 3:30 in the morning to be in time of the sunrise. We have to be at the top where 10,000 feet elevation to see the sun rises above the clouds and it was freezing too. Definitely one of the most amazing sunrise I've ever seen.

Blast from the past

Yesterday while we are driving back from Miami, Ray and I were talking about our favorite places in the west. We love 1. The Grand Canyon which is pretty amazing and you will wonder how can it form naturally into an amazing place.

2. Monument Valley, this one is just unbelievable how it happened in the middle of nowhere you'll this formation standing tall.

3. Yosemite National Park Beautiful. It's got waterfalls which is the reason why I want to go and see the park.

4. Yellowstone National Park. The most active super volcano.

5. Carlsbad Cavern National Park. Pictures won't do justice in this park wait till you see it in you naked eyes you will be surprised.

West have so many beautiful places to go. Here's only but to tell you the truth I love everyone of them that we went to.

Update on States I have Visited

I officially visited 49 states. No kidding, we visited the New England States last Christmas and New Year. Wonder what's left? The biggest of all of them. ALASKA! It's gonna be hard for us to go there because it's far. Of course we have to know what's the best time to go. I don't know if we will be able to go over there. We'll see

Here's the link for all the places I've been to in the past 3 years

Road Trip to NorthEast Part 2

This trip was supposed to be pure pleasure yet in the last minute before our flight we got this European painting so we just brought the painting with us to show it some museum up north. After New York City, we went to Hartford, Connecticut. We don't know why we're going over there, we don't have any itinerary to follow, as long as we got gas in the car we'll drive to wherever the car will bring us. The next day we went to Providence, Rhode Island. Then we continue to Cape Cod and then Boston, Massachusetts. I like the people in the Boston, they're friendly and very helpful. One thing we noticed was the roads and interstate system was very confusing. When you missed an exit you'll end up in a bridge. It's just confusing to us even with the help of our GPS. Another thing was the parking, for a 2 and a half parking for 36 dollars is not reasonable, it's more of a rip-off! We were debating whether to go to Augusta, Maine or not but then we decided to go ahead anyway. On our way to Augusta,we stop at Concord, New Hampshire for lunch. As we continue to Maine snow was getting bad, it's getting white everywhere we look, even the road is hard to see, We were speeding a lil bit hoping a mile forward will be better not knowing the speed limit in the small town somewhere in New Hampshire, we saw a cop car going the other way yet he put his light to turn back around, so Ray just pulled over in a nearest parking lot of a motel. Somebody told us that if you think you're speeding and the cop is behind you but he didn't put his light yet you can pull over in a gas station or any parking lot and they can't give you a ticket. We decided to stay in that motel, we asked the lady and she said they're very strict about the speed limit and when we were in the we were like lunatic looking out the window checking if the cop is still there. The next day we continue to Augusta but halfway it's snowing really bad so we just stop in Mexico, Maine to eat and then went back to Montpelier, Vermont. I like the city even though side walks were covered with snow. We had our ice cream, I've been wanting ice cream, I don't care if it's cold. We have coat and car heater anyway :) .

Welcome to Montreal, Canada, first thing i noticed was the speed limit. 90! I was wondering if it's miles because U.S. never had that speed limit, the most we've seen is 80/mph and that's only one time somewhere in Texas. Out of curiosity, I've been looking out and I finally found out it's kilometers per hour so it made it slower. Montreal is nice but Toronto is nicer. Buildings were amazing. Nice view of Lake Ontario, main reason why we want to go there to complete our 5 Great Lakes water Collection.

We were able to see Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, it is a lot better in the Canadian side than the US side. A lot livelier, more stuff to do than just look at the waterfalls which unbelievable and a TRUE GOD creation.

We also went to Morgantown, West Virginia. The only state that was left in that area. We went back to New York for our New Year. The ball drop which i didn't see and a lot of people were waiting and trying to get to and trying to witness but it's all impossible if you get there later, I mean you have to be there i guess from 8am in the 31st and wait until 12am on the 1st which is NOT so worth it! considering the horrible weather and a 12 hour wait is just so inefficient.

We went to Atlantic City and spent a day and then went to The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Went back to New York City and spent our two days in the City.

Happy New Year everyone!

Weekend in Miami

Driving 4 hours? Is it really worth it? YES but for others I should say, it depends upon what your likes and interest.
I just like Miami and all the opportunities. Opportunities? Yes it's one of the biggest city in the country that offers tons of opportunities. Going down to Miami it's not just always partying over the weekend, we go there for some reasons. Buy computer equipments at the lines of computer wholesaler stores, my part time job on the weekend and of course the Saturday night out in our favorite club.

Sunday, went to Lake Okeechobee to go fishing. Unfortunately, we didn't catch anything :(

Chillin’ in Miami

Ray and I already talked about not taking any vacations or weekend getaways but Ray wanted to go to the keys to snorkel so badly because it will be chilly and we can’t go to the keys until May or June. We made our plan over the week and surely went down South.

We left Friday afternoon so we will be in Miami around 6 or 7 o’clock at night so we go out to our favorite club in Miami. Everything went as planned. Saturday woke up late and it was kind of chilly to go out to the keys with the boat. Instead of going to Key Largo to snorkel we decided just go to Miami Beach in the afternoon. I had my swimwear but never go swimming because it was chilly a little bit. We just hang out in the sand reading and sleeping under the sun. There were still a lot of people in the beach some were in the water but most was just sun bathing, as a matter of fact we can hardly find a parking space and finally got one three roads away from the beach. We can’t just leave Miami Beach without going to our favorite bar in Ocean Drive called Mango which we spent like crazy. As far as I can remember that was the most expensive dinner (of course maybe cheaper to your meals but for us it is a LOT) but that was including our souvenir drinks. It wasn’t too bad; we can still get by with itJ.

Saturday night is another night out. We went to a club in Fort Lauderdale and it was disappointing. It was small and packed. Nevertheless we enjoy the food and overall we had a fun night but we will never go back again.

Sunday was still cold. We just changed our whole plan. We weren’t going to the keys anymore. Friend’s cousin invited us to a boat (they do it oftentimes on the weekends) but we figured it’s going to be cold so we just simply say no. We chose to go to Ford and Edison Winter Estates; we wanted to go there it’s just we always go by so late every time. Now is the perfect time plus it’s on our way home.

We got home around 8 o’clock at night. God it was so cold. Definitely colder than Miami. At our Favorite bar "Mango" and in the Beach

Fantasy Festival in Key West

All I can say is “OMG”. Our weekend was pretty wild. We made a trip to Key West for the “Fantasy Festival” and it was fantastic. The whole time we stayed was crazy yet lots and lots of fun. We left Friday at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. We stop by at Anthony’s House (our cousin) in Miami to spend Friday night. We took a picture at his house:

Friday night went to a club in Miami which we met some nice and friendly people. I danced all night with those girls (too bad cameras are not allowed). Saturday drove down to Key West for the Fantasy Feast. Actually we forgot about Fantasy Feast and one of our friends invited us to go on the 26th – 29th of October which complicates our other plan for Halloween. We decided to go earlier than the date our friends are going. We wanted to go really bad last year (we weren’t informed early enough) and we forgot this year that’s why we already have other plan for Halloween.

Our plan was to stay 1 night in Key West since we can hardly find any hotels around but something happen so we ended up staying 2 extra days. We wanted to stay there really bad but we can’t. Thursday we are leaving again so we have to go back home and our cats don’t have enough food when we left. The longer you stay in Key West the more you don’t want to go home. It was so much fun. Here’s some our pictures:

Memorial Weekend

There's nothing like living in Florida where beaches everywhere.
Our holiday was pretty fun. Wetook a little vacation to the Southern part of
Florida. We even went to the least visited park, not because it is ugly but it is so far from civilization that only 12 campers are allowed to stay overnight.
Friday, arrived in where the ferry located and took us to
Dry Tortugas National Park. Dry Tortugas is 70 miles west of Key west where Fort Jefferson is built. The fort is made of 16,000,000 bricks (according to the tour guide and obviously it is), also where the assassin (Dr. Mudd) of President Lincoln was imprisoned. If I have a choice to go back there, I would love to. I love to camp, and knowing that once the ferry leave at 2 in the afternoon, only 12 campers left and the volunteer couple in the island. I love the white sand beach with its crystal clear water perfect for skin diving or snorkeling. As a matter of fact my new interest now is “snorkeling” even though I am still learning how to swim.

The rest of Saturday was in Key West, it was so lively and informal. People were in their flip flops walking around. Loud music and live bands everywhere, it was so laid back.

Sunday was all about the beach. We rent a 20 foot boat in Key Largo the whole day for the reefs. We’ve been to one of the reefs last January 2005 for our honeymoon but it wasn’t enough. The exact location of the reefs was already in our GPS so we don’t have any problem on the locations. Key largowasn’t on our original plan at all but we have to do what we think is fun. The first reef was the Dry Rocks where we went before and it has the underwater statue of Jesus Christ. We stop in French Reef but didn’t snorkel. We also went to Molasses Reef; the last and best stop was the Hen and Chicken reef. It was fantastic. There’s nothing like swimming with the variety of beautiful and colorful fish in their own world. Some fish will swim with you, some just stay in the bottom that they look like they are having party and the weirdest thing was when they just look at you.

Monday went to Vero Beach and we got there late and so hot so we decided to go to Kennedy and even that was late. We only have an hour and a half to play with. We’ve a lot of things and even to IMAX which really cool but we definitely want to go back there next time we’ll be on that side and hopefully in the schedule of the takeoff of the shuttle to space which will be July.

This is what i promised!!! Our Road Trip

Road Trip to North and Mid West (April 19 – 29, 2006)

Day 1 - April 19, 2006 Tampa to Denver, Colorado

Six o’clock in the morning, our flight from Tampa International Airport to Denver, Colorado. We Arrived in Denver around 10:00 am, rode a shuttle from the airport to Budget rental car. Our plan for the rental was for me to help drive but they didn’t allow me because I am not 25 years old to be included in the insurance. So I can’t drive for the whole trip. Driving is out and I will be the in charge for the GPS which is I would love to. The weather in Colorado is a bit colder than I expected. I only brought one jacket, thinking it wouldn’t be that cold anymore (Hello it’s spring time) but I was definitely wrong.

We are ready to hit the road at 1:00 pm. I got my GPS ready too. Our plan was to go to John Denver Sanctuary, Buffalo Bill’s Gravesite and Molly Brown Museum. I put the three addresses in my GPS and Molly Brown Museum is out of the way from where the other two so we decided not to go to the museum. Instead we drove towards Golden where Buffalo Bill’s Gravesite. I don’t know much about him so it doesn’t excite me much.

After we saw his gravesite we drove down towards Aspen. As I was looking for the roads going to Aspen I noticed that there’s only one road (US 82) that goes in and out of the city and it’s unbelievable. We took US 82 from the bottom and guess what happened, the road was closed and we are only 25 miles from where we’re going. We screwed up. We have no choice but to drive back and take the interstate. The thing is we flew to Denver to see John Denver Sanctuary and we can’t leave without seeing it. So we have to find another route, took US 82 again from the I-70 but we have to ask somebody if the road is not close. The cop said it is open all the way to Aspen. It was getting late so we stayed in a hotel at Glenwood Springs.

Day 2 – April 20, 2006 – Aspen, Colorado to Arches National Park, Utah

In the morning we noticed that in the back of the hotel they have a ski lift. We were curious so we have to know what’s going on. The guy said the ski lift will bring us to a cave and as what we saw in the brochure it’s beautiful. Going back to our plan but still thinking about it since we have to come back up so we can actually do it on our way back if we have enough time. We reached John Denver Sanctuary around 10:30 am. The place is not big but seeing the lyrics of the songs in the rocks is really pretty and the place is so relaxing. Aspen is really cool but it is so expensive.

Our plan now is to stop at the Glenwood Caverns and we will do it. We got there around 1:00 pm. He made us think when he said the next tour is 1:30 pm. We are discussing whether to do it or not because we don’t want to miss Arches in the sunset. Finally we made up our mind and we decided to do it. The chair lift ride was part exciting and part scary but I am not afraid of height at all so it’s cool. While waiting for the tour to the cave we decided to go in the interactive roller coaster located in the mountain, isn’t it cool? Definitely is. My first roller coaster in the mountain and it is interactive. It was awesome and would love to do it again. The cave tour was amazing. It was our first cave together and my first cave ever. They have all the lights inside and you will see all kinds of amazing formations. It was definitely worth of our stop.

Driving towards Arches National Park in Utah, as planned we arrive there at sunset. We thought the arches are just next to each other but they’re not. The arch that I like is Delicate Arch and I think that was the main arch that they are using in the picture. There's so many rock formations that you don’t think it exists but it does. We stayed in Moab, Utah for the night.

Day 3 – April 21, 2006 – 4 Corners, Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon

We arrive at 7:00 am in the 4 Corners National Park and it was closed. They open at 8:00 am. We’re not the only one waiting. They actually in line with their car but we don’t need to. The Four Corners is the boundary of the four states namely Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico. You can be in four states at one time, cool huh? We both did it and we are so proud we did.

The Monument Valley National Park is one of my favorites. It is so pretty and unbelievable. I am a fan of nature so everything that is made by nature I totally love it. I really do.

Next stop was Bryce Canyon National Park, here’s another astounding beauty of nature. Actually we don’t know anything about it until one of our customers from Utah told us not to miss Bryce canyon because it is really beautiful and sure it is. Man, all I’ve seen in the past month I will never exchange it to anything and I am dead serious.

Day 4 – April 22, 2006 – Salt Lake City

Main thing in Salt Lake City is the Mormon Church. They have the prettiest garden I’ve ever seen in my whole life. The flowers are very beautiful, the surrounding was so happy where you see people with smile in their faces, children’s laughing and playing around and of course the groom and the bride walking in the garden with their photographer was so spectacular. We probably saw at least four newly wed cuoples if not more. I love that place. On our way out , we saw Salt Lake and out of Ray's curiosity he went down and taste the water if it 's really salty. Driving parallel with the lake we saw file and file of salt companies( cargill and morton). We also drove by to this weird scene . When we were watching it from the car it looks like a mirage but we found out while driving further down. All turned into while and as a result of our curiousity we stepped out in the car to touch and taste what it is. Guess what it was salt. The place where the fastest car was tested. The place was huge. They even have some info of the place. It really surprised me.

Day 5 – April 23, 2006 – Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

The weather is so nice even though there’s snow but it’s not as cold as winter. The sun is up that makes it perfect. I don’t know what Crater Lake looks like in the summer but for me what I’ve seen is awesome. The water is so blue and the snow around it makes it incredibly nice. The risqué pictures I posted were part of our adventure (taking sexy photos).

Day 6 – April 24, 2006 – Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens and Seattle

Mount Hood National Park was the first mountain I’ve been to in the United States. Too bad most of the recreational establishments were closed but anyways we’ve been there and see it so we don’t really need to stay that long.

Mount St. Helens National Park, we need to see something in here. This park is part of the history when it blew up in May 18, 1980. We were ready to give up when every road we took were closed and luckily we stumble in that one road that took us to where we can still see the devastations she made 25 years ago. No kidding we saw a smoke coming out from the top and it scared us and left the area.

Seattle, Washington. The only reason why we are going to Seattle is to see and visit Bruce Lee’s grave. Yup I am not kidding, Bruce Lee made Ray’s day even though it took us 30 minutes and Andrew (friend) help us find it. We called Andrew when we cannot find Bruce Lee’s grave. He searched on the Internet while talking to Ray on the phone. After 30 minutes we found it. We also went to Microsoft just to see how big it is and it is humongous. Pictures will always there. We also went to the Space Needles to see the whole city at night and actually planning to come back in the morning for the day view.

Day 7 – April 25, 2006 – Seattle and Mount Rainier National Park

We went to the Pike Place Market where known for the tossing of the fish or they called it fish ladder but you have to buy one for you to see it. We also see the first established Starbucks coffee. After the market we went back to Space Needles and then to EMP (experienced Music project) where I met a Filipino. She came from California and she just visits her son. We saw what we wanted to see so time to leave Seattle.

We drove towards Mount Rainier National Park. I love seeing the snow in the mountain. Mountains are so pretty with snow. Mount rainier is so nice and beautiful. You’ll see it in the pictures. Actually I am running out of words to describe all the places we’ve been to.

Day 8 – April 26, 2006 – Yellowstone National Park

Oh God, The most active volcano I have ever seen. You can see all kinds of activities in the park. I saw the smokes coming out from the bubbling water, the mud pot which is bubbling too and of course the famous Old faithful Geyser which will come out every 90 minutes. The fact is Yellowstone is a super volcano and super active that when it will blow up it can destroy America. Yellowstone is the main reason of this vacation.

We have to get back out from where we came from (west entrance) instead of just going straight to the south entrance, which is close. Going to Grand Teton is not to far from Yellowstone but the closest route is close (south entrance) so we have to drive all the way around. We ended up in Jackson, Wyoming.

Photos

Day 9 – April 27, 2006 –
Grand Teton National Park

We cannot leave Jackson without driving around and unfortunately the grass maze was close and it will be open May. We continue to Grand Teton and again some roads were closed for vehicles. I don’t want to walk to Jenny Lake. We went to the other side of Grand Teton where we saw Jackson Lake and it was frozen. Yea the whole lake was in ice and to our curiosity again we actually went down there to touch it. We threw some stone and enjoy the sound of it. There’s nothing like the feeling when you play like a kid again. We timed ourselves in freezing our hands underneath the frozen lake. It was fun.

We drove towards Mount Rushmore National Park in South Dakota. The presidents’ heads are so visible at night because they have lights. The park is close so we stayed the night in Keystone, South Dakota.

Photos

Day 9 – April 28, 2006 – Mount Rushmore National Park, Wind Cave National Park and Bed Fossils National Park

Those heads are huge, I mean humongous. Oh the people are so nice and amazing, the friendliest of all the places we’ve been to in this trip. The weather was the coldest of them all. We were just lucky that the sun was out that makes you warm a little bit. The presidents were selected on the basis of what each symbolized. George Washington represents the struggle for independence, Thomas Jefferson the idea of government by the people. Abraham Lincoln for his ideas on equality and the permanent union of the states, and Theodore Roosevelt for the 20th century role of the United States in world affairs.

Wind Cave National Park is nice. It was the second cave we went together. The outside and the access to the cave are modernized (they have elevator going down and up) but the cave itself is being preserved to its natural form. The cave is mainly formed by wind.

We continue to Agate Bed Fossils National Park in Nebraska. It was close but he still want to climb a little bit and look around. I don’t feel like going out so I just took pictures of him while he is roaming around.

This was our last stop. Out next destination was Denver, Colorado for our plane ride going back to Tampa.

Believe it or not we’ve been to 10 states in this trip namely Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska.

We depreciated that car, imagine we put more or less 5,500 miles.

Now I’ve got 34 states total and Ray has 35 including Hawaii.

Weekend Express

Finally, i am convinced by Ray to go to this bar last Saturday. He's been telling me about the place, that it is nice to hang out, we can can dance and play pool. We love playing pool though he always win but when it comes to dancing, he can't keep up with me.
I almost forgot about the fight of
Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales. Luckily i was just playing with the tv remote after we had our dinner(take out from our favorite chinese restaurant "Dynasty") and mistakenly saw the first fight before the main event(Morales-Pacquiao). We waited for an hour, the whole thing starts at 9:00 pm. It was 11:00 pm and still not the main event. It's getting late so we decided to record it and watch it when we come home. We recorded the remaining of the show.
This our first time to this place but we already saw it in the website. The place is nice. They have a dance floor, two pool table. It was really fun. I like the place, we play of course dance and have our drinks. We met a filipina, she was with her fiance. They came from
Fort Lauderdale and they heard it so just want to check the place out.
We stayed there for four hours. We got home around
3:30 am, i wasn't even a bit sleepy because i have my favorite coconut 'n coke(i love it). My college classmate leave a message on my yahoo messenger saying Pacquiao won the fight. I was so excited to see the fight especially that i knew he won. It's nice because we don't have any commercials or just forwarded it in between the rounds. They have 12 rounds but he knock Morales down on the 10th round. The first, third fourth and fifth rounds morales was winning. On the sixth Manny started to give him power punch(i don't know what to call them, i am not a boxing fan).
Sunday, expected not to wake up early because went to bed late. In the afternoon we went to the flea market just to get those fake fishes for the wall in our jacuzzi. We got some last year and he still wanted 3 more. After that, we went to the store and watch the football game(Seatle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos). My bet is the Seahawks because i told Ray that the Steelers and the Seahawks will be the teams in the Super Bowl two weeks ago even before the Steelers played with the Indianapolis Colts. Of course my team will be Pittsburg Steelers to win the Super Bowl.
We finish watching the Seahawks vs Panthers at home. I prepare for our dinner and here we go again on my craving for filipino food. I made a steak for Ray and a pig feet for me( he always said yuck but i don't care, i miss it!!!) After the game and the dinner, we watch the movie Cinderella Man on dish Network PPV in our jacuzzi.
That pretty much it for our weekend. Just for both of us but it was fun. Little things we will make it funnier than the usual.
