Philippine Festival 2008

The past weekend was the yearly Philippine Festival here in the Tampa Bay area. Ray and I been going there for three years even though the two years was scorching hot and this year was different. It was pouring rain and we went Sunday but never stayed long because of the rain and it was muddy. We only ate there then sit for a bit and then head back to the store. It wasn't a good time, I can't even walk around and see what they got because of the rain. All we did was just had one round and eat then the rain started pouring.

at a car show

I ain't afraid to try something new but this picture that I am gonna attach took a week for Ray to convince me to do it. I had fun though, it's definitely out of the norm because I had a few people asked me if they can take a picture with me. Of course I am happy to do it, hell yea, if I have to wear the outfit why not! right? so here it is, tell me what you think?

Lunar Eclipse Tonight @ 9pm

It was really cool looking at the moon just few minutes ago. It was kinda chilly outside but I went ahead and stayed for 30 minutes watching the moon while the shadow of the earth covered it. At some point the moon was covered with clouds but when it emerged from the clouds it was so cool. The two satellites were also visible moving around the moon(so if you're watching the moon don't think it was falling stars because it wasn't ;) ).

Valentine's Day 2008

This year our Valentine's is so simple. We worked and after work, we just had dinner. We were at Circles to have our Chicken Piccata but the line was long and we didn't do any reservations so we to wait if they have any available tables. We were sitting while waiting but we can't just wait so we got out and just go to a Chinese Restaurant and had a buffet. Oh boy that was good! We ate like a pig! I was happy to go to that restaurant because I was able to see my favorite waitress that used to work at our favorite Chinese Restaurant but they closed because the owner sold the whole building. The whole dinner went pretty well and I am still stuffed with all the food and dessert that I ate.

At least I feel better this Valentine's Day than last year when we went to the cruise and Ray and I got sick that we almost throw up.

Once again guys....Happy Valentine's Day and wish you all the love in the World!

Take care

Across the Universe Day

got this info from

Tomorrow, February 4, 2008, at 00:00 GMT (7:00 p.m. New York /EST), NASA will beam the Beatles’ “Across The Universe” to the star Polaris, 431 light years away (that’s 431 years travel at the speed of light before our all-time favorite Beatles song reaches the 2.5 quadrillion miles away star). This is being done to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the song, the 45th anniversary of NASA’s Deep Space Network, an international network of antennas that supports missions to explore the universe, and the 50th anniversary of NASA.

Across the Universe

NASA has invited people around the world to play “Across the Universe” on their audio systems at the same time NASA beams its mp3 version into outer space. The idea was hatched by Beatles’ historian Martin Lewis, who encourages all Beatles fans to play the track as it is being beamed to the distant star. Additionally, this date will be known as “Across the Universe Day”. The event marks the first time a radio song has been beamed into deep space.

Join the celebration!

Bloggers, let’s do this! This blog got the track ready. Please invite other bloggers as well to join the celebration.

Now I'm tagging anyone... Anyone of you who sees this post until 8am tomorrow, feb 5 2008, I'm tagging you and help spread the news! just don't forget to link me... good day...

3rd Year Wedding Anniversary

Sunday January 27 was our 3rd year wedding anniversary. It seems like we've only known each yesterday yet we know a lot from each other. Marriage is not just LOVE, it's got everything to make life the most challenging one. Living with someone you love is tough yet fun. You have to learn how to understand, communicate and file yourself up with patience because you surely need it for a relationship that you will in to. What I learn about my 3 years of marriage is a thing called "GIVE AND TAKE". Two people committed should know how to give and take in order for that relationship to work and last. Don't expect that when you start a relationship you can't just take and take because that someone will be tired of giving and next time you you are pushing him away from you and your relationship.
We still have a long ways to go so we better pack with all the ingredients that will make this all work until the end.

We have pictures from the casino dinner cruise:

Happy New Year 2008

Another amazing year had passed, welcoming 2008 is a bit interesting and wonder what would a new year will bring but of course it's always "Destiny is not a matter of CHANCE, it is a matter of CHOICE" so good luck with all the choices you're making because it will mold your whole year and even whole life.

Anyway, we are in New York City for New Year but definitely will not recommend to anybody about going next time if all you want is to see the ball drop just like what i want to see. Honestly, when we were actually in New York City we just decided not to go for the ball drop because TV already said about people going just to see the event. We just go earlier to take pictures while they're testing the ball drop yet we never had a chance because as early as 3pm when we get there from Philadelphia, PA, police already had blocked and put barricades on some of the roads going to Times Square. First of all, parking was terrible. Luckily i changed my boots (with heels) into a comfortable sneaker we walked a long ways from where we park the car in a subway station and still need to walk to times square. We finally arrive around times square but cops were everywhere and stops us from crossing the road. When we finally got to one point where we thought we can see it if we just be in 1 block ahead but we were wrong. We actually get a road where cops won't let us go but when we told her that we are going to the restaurant she escorted us to the place. We went inside and had a drink since we already ate earlier. When we got out from the restaurant we to go times square but it's only like there but we can't see the ball. We hang out for awhile and i even asked the police to take a picture of the ball, he was so nice and he even let me pass through the barricades and told me that the ball is there yet i can't see it because it wasn't lit up yet. Damn, all i was able to see was the big screen TV in times square which I've seen it already. The cop even pointed the ball and asked me if i will still want him to take a picture of me but i refuse since i got pictures already and all i want is the ball. He told me I can take pictures later when it's all lit up but i have to get out and just come back later. He even said he'll be at the car at 11:15pm and we made a deal but me and ray just leave, the hell with the ball drop, the weather is freezing (for a Floridian), it's not just cold it's biting cold!
I'm glad we did it, at least we now know and experience the New Year Craze even though never had a chance to see the ball drop. Definitely never in my imagination to do it again.

In 42nd and 7th so close yet never saw that damn ball

Men in uniform getting ready just in case something happen. I asked one of them to be in a picture with because i just want want a picture with his gun but he refuse to for security reasons.

it sucks

I finally have time to update my profile. I've been super busy the past month because we are trying to figure new things out. I need to take out the music i had in my profile because the company that's been hosting our company websites said that it's illegal to upload songs. They already deleted the directory so my music box doesn't work anymore and no sense of keeping it if it doesn't work. I might figure something else, we'll see.

Philfest 2007

All i can say is "I didn't enjoy it" beside the fact that it was scorching hot, there weren't enough tables and chairs to cater the needs of everyone who went there. It was worth it seeing some my pinay friends and of course the lechon, I'm cool with just that...hahahaha.

My Unforgettable Valentine

Our Valentine's date? A DISASTER! We went to the Casino fun cruise off of Treasure Island, Fl. I've been to one in Key Largo, Fl before and i was lucky that i won $300, this time it was awful that i don't even want to go back soon. Anyway, the weather wasn't cooperating, so the boat was rockin' like a roller coaster and believe it or not almost all of the passengers were sick. We thought it's gonna be fine when we stop but it gets worst and worst every minute of the trip. All we did was ate our dinner. I saw people vomiting and i almost did myself, people lying down on the chairs and floors. It was horrible. Finally the captain decided to go back to shore. It was a complete DISASTER! My unforgettable Valentine experience.

Discovery Shuttle

Finally it took off Saturday at 8:47pm. Yea, Ray and I were one of the thousand people waiting for the NASA Discovery Shuttle’s launch. Frankly we went Thursday night at the Kennedy Space Center to witness a night launch only to be disappointed when they announced that the weather wasn’t cooperating. We decided to go again because we already went Thursday and it all be wasted if it will launch and we’re not there. Surely we got lucky the second time around. It was so cool that it lit up the whole area. We were 11 miles from the launch pad 39 B. I'll upload the video from the phone later fellas. It was so neat.

Week is so busy. I got an interview to the path that i'm going, hopefully i will do good and be productive on it.

At the Car Show

Actually our weekend wasn’t planned to be like what we had. We decided earlier in the week just to spend our whole weekend sleeping in the house but we heard something on the radio Friday morning that Q105 is having a Car Show in Drew St and U.S. 19 in Clearwater so we called and ask about it if we can go and surely they said YES. We registered for the “Best of the Best” Car Show in Clearwater Florida. Even though we already talked about staying in the house for the weekend Ray still want to go somewhere in town. Saturday night we ended up watching “BORAT” at the FUN-LAN Drive -in. It was hilarious and we fell asleep in the second movie entitled “The Prestige”.

Sunday is the car show so I decided to wear my taxi outfit.

Here’s more of our pictures in the car show.

Halloween 2006

In the past 2 weeks was crazy. Actually it wasn’t until we decided to go to Key West for Fantasy Festival. We were just waiting for our weekend trip to Dallas, Texas for the Halloween and one of our friends invited us to go with them to Key West for Fantasy Festival which is only a week before the opening week. At first we tried to swap weekends since we were already booked for our flight to Dallas, Texas and already paid for our Halloween Party that didn’t work out for us, so we decided to go the opening weekend. Our plan was to come back to Tampa Sunday and ended up coming back Tuesday and its only 2 days before our flight. I unpacked and pack our stuffs again and Dallas here we come.

Our flight was October 26, 2006, Thursday at 6:00 o’clock (hated it since I have to wake up really early and it was cold but who am I to complain, we have to take the good with the bad). We arrive in Dallas around 10:00 am. We got our rental car and ready for our road trip around 11:00am. We drove towards Oklahoma City to see the Oklahoma City Memorial where it was bombed in 1995 which killed people and innocent children.

At 4:00pm we started driving towards Carlsbad, New Mexico to see Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The park was amazing. It’s a huge cave with pretty and unbelievable formations inside. It was all worth walking and everything just to see nature’s at its best. Seeing it personally surely makes you appreciate its beauty

Our plan was to go back to Dallas, Texas after Carlsbad Caverns but we spent more time than what we have in our itinerary so we decided to stay somewhere and next time we know we were running out of gas I mean we were on empty and the guy that we talked to said that gas stations were 35 miles either way. We just got lucky because the Guadalupe Mountains National Park Visitor Center was selling gas for emergency (Thanks God). Since we were already in the park we decided to take a look, it’s all free maybe because the park is not as pretty as a typical national park. Ray and I were arguing where to go next since we were not going back to Dallas right yet. Finally decided to go to El Paso to stay for the night and maybe find a club to hang out. We were going to at least drive to Mexico but traffic was really bad. We went to a club and started driving to Dallas in the morning. Back to Dallas around 5:00 pm. We’re excited for the Halloween Party. We already have our reservations and everything. I had my Lion Outfit and I love it. Actually bought it a month earlier (so excited it’s my first time to dress up for Halloween). The party was fun and the club was pretty pack, we can hardly walk towards the bathroom

Sunday is intended for Dallas sightseeing. We went to the Texas School Book Depository building where Lee Harvey Oswald shut President John F. Kennedy. We came back to our hotel room for the football game. We went to the Japanese Garden in Fort Worth after the game. The garden was quite disappointing. It wasn’t worth 30 minutes driving. The pictures are nicer than seeing it with our eyes. Finally got done with our trip and left Dallas around 7:00 pm and back in Tampa around 12:00am.

Aside from running empty on gas there was no problem. We came home safe. Thanks God
