Early Christmas

Yesterday we went to my sister's house for an early Christmas party. We did it earlier because they are not going to be around on our traditional Christmas gathering at my mom's. It's like everybody was there but my other sister but we will have our traditional Christmas anyway.

It was fun everybody was thrilled about my stomach. It's already starting to show. We actually got a first gift for the baby from Courtney (our niece and Ray's god daughter)

Obama wins

Yup, tonight the Americans has just decided for the next president of the country. Barack Obama from the state of Illinois and a representative for the Democrat party won the election.

John McCain congratulates Barack Obama and even promised to help and support him.

It has been a long campaign but tonight it has all ended and hopefully whatever happened and being said during the election will be left behind so we can all walk hand hand to make this country back on track especially with our economy.

Congratulations to our newly elected president of the United States of America, Barack Obama!

Joke Therapy

When I was growing up way back in my home town, jokes is always part of my everyday living. My brother and my father, we always tell jokes at each other even when I was in my high school days my friends, we always tell jokes as part of our conversations. Telling jokes is like part of my life and I am grateful because, people will always call me Miss Smiley. Now that I am here in the US it's rare that I get to see my friends, so what I do is just go to the Internet and read up jokes that will keep my wrinkles away.

Not the same!

Last week we went to an early Halloween Party and I am not really feelin' it even though there were a whole lot of people. Tonight we decided to go to another Halloween costume party because I always like to dress up. The only thing I don't like is I can't drink people!!! Partying is not the same when you don't have alcohol consumption, it just make the whole party funnier and wilder plus besides the fact that Ray will be drinking and I am not. It sucks but I can still have fun right? I'll just dance it off to get my thoughts away from alcohol. Maybe I can just have a frozen Pina Collada but no alcohol, does that sounds pretty good?

So are you going to a Halloween Costume party? What are you wearing? Whatever you wearing and wherever halloween party you are attending, having fun is always depend on you not on somebody else's so leave all your negative thought at home and just let go of yourself and have fun.

I am kinda confused what to wear, I had my Miss Muffet last week and I am torn between my Race Car costume and my lion outfit. We'll see what will get the most appeal later...

Chillin out!

My friend just asked us if we want to go with them in a trade show. My friend said that they are going to have a lot of trade show booths where we will have a full day of fun and adventures. They always go to those kinds of events and now they want us to experience it. She said that they will actually decided to have a booth for their business because they get a really good deal in the materials they needed to be in the show like table skirts to go with theme, Pipe and Drape which will do a dramatic effect for visitors and of course the banner stands which is very important. I have been to one before but we don't really do anything because we hardly know anybody and now that our friend will be in the event, we kinda hang out at their booth or we can go around to other booths so explore whatever they have in displays. It has been awhile since we hang out with friends because we have been working hard lately. So I think their invitation kinda just fell in the right time so at least we can just chill out and spend time with them and maybe do a little help too while having fun.

I am finally back!

I was so unmotivated to go to the gym and get back to my regular gym routine for the past 2 months. I am just so lazy to at least spare a half an hour, it started when I found out that I lost my gym bag which includes 1 pair of sneakers, fitness clothes and most especially my IPOD Gen 3. I just bought it 6 months ago and listening to the music while working out is just makes a difference. I even spent $30 just to get the best arm band for it. I just love it because it was so light and so user friendly. Now I have to deal with my IPHONE which I got my music because of course it's an IPOD too but don't think I am going to continue using it. It is not as light for one thing and it is a little bigger which I hate the most. I love my IPHONE but not when I am working out. I guess I have to save some money to buy a IPOD NANO again but I am thinking of ITOUCH but it will be the same as IPHONE when it comes to the size though but I can play games right, especially with the latest model right now.

We'll once I am able to save some money I can decide which one will work best for me. For now I am just glad I am back to my gym routine.

2008 World Series

First I want to congratulate the Tampa Bay Rays for beating the Boston Red Sox and be the winner of the 2008 American League Championship Series. I just learned all this stuff in 2 months and I am so proud that the worst team in baseball last year being able to compete in the 2008 World Series this year. It is truly a Cinderella story for the Tampa Bay Rays and being able to prove to the world that they can do all this and win their games.

Tomorrow is the first game of the 2008 World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Go Rays Go!!! We can win all the way...

I the past years, sending our deepest thoughts are really hard. Sending Holiday Gifts can be very hard because we don't want redundant gifts and of course we don't want to just waste our money because we can't think of something new and useful gifts. Most of my friends are married and having a baby is not really a news and giving Baby Gifts is sometimes hard because I don't want to keep giving the same thing, and of course the hardest thing for me is thinking of birthday gifts, it's so special where I always want to give a special gift to a special person who is celebrating her day and I found this great ideas from Book Bouquet create unusual gifts featuring great books. As our technology has been really great in the past century, we have great inventions that makes our lives so much easier. Alright! The Tampa Bay Rays has played their last game against the Chicago White Sox and they are one game to go to hit the world series. The Tampa Bay Rays is waiting for the winning team between the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels. What is interesting about the Tampa Bay Rays is being the worst team in the league last year to one of the best team team this year. If I have to choose I'd rather Boston Red Sox to win the series between the Los Angeles Angels because the Tampa Bay Rays will have the home field advantage playing against the Red Sox but the Los Angeles Angels which has the number one record of the whole league trying hard to bring back Game 5 to Los Angeles.

Pouring Rain

I got scared driving earlier because of the heavy rain. I normally don't drive when it is raining but when I got out it wasn't really raining so I never had to worry but after driving few blocks, the just started pouring and I hate driving because I just think it is dangerous. Plus it wasn't just rain it was thundering and there was lightning everywhere. In addition was the water accumulated too fast that when you drive the water just go in your wind shield. I just hate when you drive and can't even see clearly even changing lanes I feel so vulnerable. So to of you out there, Please drive carefully and if you can, please don't drive if you don't have to.

Sports In our Lives

Sports is always been a big part of every country. No matter what kind of sport it is, it always bring people a lot closer and sometimes a part because of the teams yet after the game we are all belong to one country and one game. Here in America one if not the biggest sport is football. At first I was like why this sport is so physical yet I gradually like it and even root for our own team here in Tampa. I have learn watching football because every Thanksgiving dinner a football game will always play in the background. My husband and I even went to a game and even brought our dad. I just love to be a part of a big sensation here in America which is sports where you see die-hard fans are always there to cheer up their favorite teams and even fight for them if they have to. Life Within

I have been questioning myself if I am ready to face life to the next level. All these times, it's always been me, me and me. Yea I have my own family and I got dogs, cats and a bird to complete a family. Having a husband is not as easy, we have been adjusting and everyday is a lesson learned. We've been married for almost 4 years now and we still learn new everyday. Life is a constant change. Life always has its ups and down, emotion always plays its role but at the end of the day and everything has come down, we still appreciate life and God has been very good and been giving us blessing all through these years. Now I am back to questioning myself if I am ready to take the next level, my answer is still uncertain, I still have a lot of doubts that has to come out but I am not afraid to take chances. In that next level I will try to be the best that I can be. to be continued....

What's really going on?

It is been getting uglier with our situation here in United States. Our economy is plunging plus the wall street scandal. One of the biggest issue right now is 700 billion bailout, then there's the war issues. With all these drama in wall street, I don't know where to stand to tell you the truth. As our president is trying to rescue our economy as what he told us in his speech earlier. All I know is all official should be holding hands and forget the parties they are in and just focus on getting solutions of the problems we are facing right now. I just hope they will have solutions sooner than later.

This year the Tampa Bay Rays is doing pretty good that I was able to learn how to understand the baseball game. I have watched baseball before yet I really don't know what's going on. I just watch it because my friend is playing. Now that our baseball team here in Tampa, the Tampa Bay Rays is playing well and they are going to the playoffs. My husband and I went to their games. The first one we went was against the Boston red Sox which the Rays lost but they beat the Red Sox twice after. Then we went to the game against the Minnesota Twins where they lost again but we got a really good seat right on the field, first row where I was able to get the signature of one of the Rays pitcher Matt Garza. Even they lost I am still happy.

Total Transformation!

Busy schedule from work, family and friends can sometimes take away our main focus which is ourselves. We sometimes forgot that ourselves needs a lot of caring and because of our busy schedule we just let go of it where it resulted to a massive gaining of weight. When weight is gained, it is really hard to lose especially when we don't know how to start the process. Plus the fact that it is hard to contradict ourselves when we crave for those sweets and unhealthy foods. Now that summer is over and holidays are going to be knocking on our doors and next time we know we are gaining weight left and right. Losing weight is not as easy gaining them but for all the hopefuls out there here something new for you that I saw. The Sproutwells on a soccer Mom

I have been following these election speeches even though I am not eligible to vote for the upcoming election yet I just want to know what kind of candidate that are running for the next President of America. The The Sproutwells are reminding of the situation when one of the nominee asked about the difference between the hockey mom and the pit bull is lipstick and few days later the buzz about the pig with lipstick. Now as freshfunds came out with this great episode about the soccer mom, I definitely enjoyed watching while she was in her pink soccer uniform and was just hit by one ball after the other and here comes their neighbor Rosie which of course always present and always ready says some ridiculous comments. I just love when the daughter say "Stalker" which I think is true! I never saw a neighbor that is very nosy as Rosie. I am excited to see if she will be there for the Sproutwells in times of need. We'll see.

Getting fit

I never had any problem with my weight but I always like to work out in the gym. It is not really just losing weight, for me it is more of getting fit and being healthy. I'd rather work out my whole life and avoid the health problem later than wait until I gain weight which might lead into some serious health problems. Being thin and in shape is a big factor for me personally, it helps my self-esteem and of course I want to look good not just for myself but for my husband too. Even though we've been married for almost 4 years now, I don't want him to think that I don't care anymore and I want him to be proud and not to be ashamed of me(I know that's not the case). Above all is I am healthy and I don't have any problems if I will have in the future, I'm sure my body will able to fight against it.

Stay Warm

Today is a little busy and we have stuff to get done before we leave tomorrow. Yea, we have a little weekend getaway with our dear friend and we are going down south. Since there were hurricanes I really didn't packed yesterday because I thought we will going to cancel it but everything is a go. So tonight I have to pack and of course I need to bring something with me to keep me warm all the time. I got to stop myself!

I was out today to go to the post office to mail one package to United Kingdom and I stop at the store to get my shampoo since we will tomorrow and I don't have anything left. We always bring our own bathroom needs when we go somewhere. While I was just looking at my shampoo I saw this cute shorts and of course I got to get it. So went ahead and bought it. When I get out I was driving towards the other store just to see what's new. Then I saw these cute shoes and again I have nothing to stop me. So I went ahead and bought two pairs. I just hate myself when I see shoes because they are one of my weaknesses. I love them! Even online I hate browsing sometimes because I end up looking at the shoes and the shipping is ridiculous. 3 Tropical Storms: Hanna, Ike, Josephine !!!!

Tropical Storm Hanna

In the Atlantic over the southern Bahamas, Hanna has finally succumbed to northwesterly shear that has provoked it for more than 24 hours now. Because of the persistent shear, it has temporarily weakened to a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds near 65 mph. It was centered over the southeastern Bahamas about 435 miles southeast of Nassau.

Tropical Storm Ike

Elsewhere in the Atlantic Basin, Tropical Storm Ike, the ninth tropical storm of the season, is strengthening as it heads west. It is located halfway between the Lesser Antilles and Africa. Top winds are now near 65 mph, a healthy tropical storm.

Tropical Storm Ike will initially head west or west-northwest over the course of this week. It is forecast to become a hurricane by tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Tropical Storm Josephine

A tropical wave that emerged from the African Coast yesterday formed into Tropical Depression 10 earlier today and has already been upgraded to Tropical Storm Josephine.

It is located about 125 miles southwest of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands. Top winds are near 50 miles per hour.

It is expected to remain well south of the Cape Verde Islands today, moving away from them tonight on a west-northwest track into the open waters of the eastern Atlantic.

Daddy's Home! from Sproutwells

Have you seen the new episode of The Sproutwells? Well, if not then I have it here now which you are free to watch. Of course the fun ideas from freshfunds about the daddy coming was cool. I love the character of Phyto which is just like a typical dog whom he got excited when the daddy came home and Phyto just licked him and wag his tail. And he just follow around the daughter which reminds me of my 3 dogs at home. They keep following me wherever I go and even I get mad they will just do whatever to make me smile and I love it. They never get tired of following me. The scene with the neighbor was funny when the daughter just pour the water to her. She deserves it from being so nosy and I am at the daddy's side because he doesn't like the neighbor either.

Not my day

I really felt like my whole day is wasted. First with the weather thingy. Since it's rainy I decided to finish the job of our temporary help yesterday. I don't have to learn the whole thing because I used to do stamp cover auctions in ebay way before we hired somebody. So I decided to finish what he left since it's not much left anyway, now that I'm almost done and ready to upload I got these stupid errors that I have never seen before. I have edit all over again which is time consuming. Finally uploaded yet I have another problem, the pictures are changed and worst thing is it's conflicting the whole auction and I have no idea what happened why it was changed. I have a bunch of frustrations today and I just want to go home and catch some sleep. I do want to go parteeeeeeeeeeee tonight though ;) we'll see

We worked really late last night because we are planning of having a garage sale today. We started our day early (which I hate because I have to wake up early but hey when it comes to business we have to do what we don't like to do) to set it all up. I am born as a sport lover particularly basketball. Now that football is huge here in the states I learned to like it and be a fan too. I grew up watching basketball and my dream came true when we went to see an NBA game in Orlando which was my favorite Detroit Pistons were playing. When I learned football my husband brought me to 2 games already and I am loving it. This year I never though I will be interested in baseball. I never understood the game until last month and when our Tampa bay rays is playing good. Now I am getting excited because I will be able to go to the game soon. A little worried

I have heard that September is the hottest month when it comes to water temperature. He mention about hurricanes and tropical storms are most likely to develop. Now we are in the final days of August and September is only few days away and I already notice 2 tropical depression down South.
